ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX R2.0 AMD AHCI DRIVER
It looks like we hit a Blogger limit or bug here?! Please send an e-mail to sata-xahci v-front. I will just ignore any questions that are already answered there!
It is also mandatory to include the output of the lspci command above! My sata-xahci package still works and is also necessary with ESXi 6. So I changed the title of this post accordingly.
The windows 7 system has no design to Fix this automatically. The user has to find out how to change the drivers to match.
This information is all over the web, it is not just pushing one button, but many many people have sucessfully done it, the pain in the butt that it is. Because of that, a person can go nuts when they go to rearrange things and switch things back and forth. Here are some screens and observations: To handle this "feature", you either always use the original AMD size, or you check the padding for some predefined sizes.
I went for the second case, as I wanted to have a clear picture on every BIOS file I'm working, without spending extra time with manually checking the padding. Check the official AMD release for getting the sizes, also compare with multiple sources for the missing ones.
In the case of my two Sabertooth FX R (latest BIOS ) I am utterly unaware of which ROM version is installed. If SATA is set to AHCI.
